Car Entry Information

All Mail in entries must be postmarked by June 30th to be processed at the lower fee. The cost for Regular Entry is $65, Race is $100. The Judged Car Entry is $90. You can enter at the Gate for a Regular Entry or Race Entry at the higher prices. Use Gate A off US-40.

Regular Entry is $65, if postmarked by June 30, 2011. Entries postmarked after June 30 are $80 and must be paid by money order only. No mail entries accepted after July 12. Admits Car & 2 Adults to all three days and Trophy Race. Note: If raced, vehicle must pass NHRA Tech. Additional participant weekend passes $40 each. You can enter at Gate. No vehicles allowed through gate on trailers. You must circle "YES" if you plan to compete in the Trophy race.

If you would like to be in the “Original Owner” display, you must circle the YES next to the Original Owner question and submit a copy of the paperwork for the car purchase that reflects your name or someone in your family.  To qualify for entry into the Original Owners Display, the must have been purchased new from the dealership by you or someone in your immediate family (Father, Mother, Sister, Brother).  This allows for not only those cars that have the exact original owner, but for those of us lucky enough to have received a car from our parents or siblings.

Race Entry is $100, if postmarked by June 30, 2011. Entries postmarked after June 30 are $115 and must be paid by money order only. No mail entries accepted after July 12. Admits Car & 2 Adults to all three days and Choice of available race classes as tentatively planned: Super-Pro, Pro, Street, Quick 16, Nostalgic, Young Gun, F.A.S.T. and Gen II Hemi – 5.7L & 6.1L. Note: Vehicle must pass NHRA Tech. You can enter at Gate on Thursday through Saturday. No entries on Sunday. You must circle YES or NO for the trailer or it will be assumed NO. Judged Show Entry is $90 and must be postmarked by June 30, 2011. Admits Car & 2 Adults to all three days, plus entry into the Judged Show that takes place on Friday, August 12th. Include a photo of your car with entry form. NO ENTRIES AT GATE. Vehicles judged by year/class. Additional weekend passes $40 each. *Senior Class $100. Tow vehicle/trailer fee for parking on show side is $25. One entry class must be circled.

OEM TM Certification - This Judging is limited to 5 cars. The fee is $200.  Call or e-mail to inquire if there is any openings for this year.  If there are no openings, you can be put on the list for next year.  This is a four+ hour judging process meant for cars that have received an original ground up correct restoration or that are un-restored but in a very high quality of appearance.  Every aspect of the vehicle is judged for condition, correctness, date code, etc. cars are judged against a standard and receive points. Cars that achieve 95% of total points are awarded a Mopar Nationals GOLD Certificate, 90% a Silver Certificate and 85% a Bronze Certificate. MOPAR SURVIVOR ENTRY - Cars wanting to enter into the Mel Majors Survivor Tent area must call Mel for tent space availability, cars not able to get under tent can park in the reserved area adjacent to the tent. Note: You must fill out a Mopar Nationals Entry Form and Survivor Form. The regular $65 entry fee applies.

(Note: You must be approved for under the tent, those not approved will be allowed to park next to the tent) While there is no fee associated with being a part of the display, you do have to enter the event by filling out and application and sending it in along with the proper entry fee(s).

Car Corral entry is $95 if postmarked by
June 30, 2011. Thereafter and at the gate is $110. Entries postmarked after June 30 must be paid by money order only. No mail entries accepted after July 12th. A special area reserved in a prime location for those wishing to sell their Chrysler or AMC. NO PARTS. Includes 1 admission pass, additional passes $40 each. Note: If vehicle is a running vehicle and is trailered, it must be unloaded to be parked in the car corral, the trailer and tow vehicle MUST be parked in the Gate H Lot.  If vehicle is not running, and is on a trailer, the vehicle on the trailer can be parked in the corral, but the tow vehicle must be parked in Gate H Lot. Only vehicles for sale will be allowed in this area.

General Swap Space is $95 for 10x25 spot. End spots are $140 (please call for availability). Includes 1 pass/space, Price is for pre-registered entries postmarked by June 30, higher at the gate. Additional passes $40 each. NO T-SHIRTS, HATS, APPAREL or
FOOD is allowed for sale in general swap area. NOTE: Transportation vehicle must fit within your space(s) or you must park in the general parking lot. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

 

Entering the Track (Participants)

Pre Pre-Registered Participants: To alleviate traffic jams and ensure a smooth entry into the racetrack grounds, all pre-registered participants MUST follow the entry instructions included with your confirmation package. Your entry number will identify which gate you should use and will give you the proper directions to get to that gate. Gates A, D, & H, are for participants. Gates A & D are off of US-40, while Gate H is off Refugee Road (CR 30).

Non-Registered Participants: (Regular and Race Entries Only) For those who have not pre-registered for the event and would like to enter at the gate, follow the above directions to the track and go to the gate A entrance off U.S. 40 for registration. Show field parking areas will be on the provided map. Drag race entrants also follow the directions to gate A for registration. After registration, you must be tech inspected. Tech inspection is located next to the quarter mile track near the finish line. Drag race entry is available only on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. There will be NO Sunday drag race registration or tech inspection. 

Trailered Vehicles (non-race): Due to space limitations, no show vehicles on trailers will be allowed entry onto the show grounds. There will be limited trailer parking available in the West Side lot ($25). Once full, remaining trailer will be parked across US-40 in a special lot.

Trailered Vehicles (Race): Use the main gate "A" off US-40 to be tech inspected. Once tech inspected, you may use either gates A or H, depending on your entry number. Street Class entries are not allowed entry on a trailer.

On-Site Info

If you need information about any aspect of the show, go to one of the three information centers, located at gates A, D and at the Mopar Nationals Registration Tent which is located behind the main grandstands and identified with an air balloon. Event flyers, schedule of events, vendor listing and maps of the track are available, as well as personnel to answer questions.

Pre-Event Info

The deadline for the Judged Show entry ($90) is June 30, 2011. Regular and Race entries will be accepted at the gate, space permitting. Call the Mopar Nationals Hotline at (313) 278-2240 for the latest entry information. Pre-register to guarantee a space and help speed up your entry into the grounds. Swap Meet and Midway vendor entries will be accepted until 6PM on Thursday August 6th.

Credentials & Admission Passes

All pre-registered participants (car, car corral, vendor, and drag race/trailer permit) will receive a confirmation package in mid-July with their admission passes and vehicle window entry sticker(s). Pre-registered show participants must present their confirmation letter at the Mopar Nationals Registration Tent behind the main grandstands to receive their goodie bag and event souvenirs.
